Car park layout plan template

A car park layout decides how many cars fit and how safely people walk to the door. This example lays out an office car park with rows of 2.4 by 4.8 metre bays on 6 metre aisles, a one-way loop in and out, accessible and parent and child bays beside a footpath to the entrance, a zebra crossing, EV charging bays, motorcycle bays and a cycle shelter, with a bay schedule.

How to use this template

  1. Set the flow

Decide where cars come in and go out and draw a one-way route so drivers never meet head on or reverse into traffic.

  2. Lay out the bays

Fit rows of bays along the aisles, then move accessible and parent bays closest to the entrance with their extra space.

  3. Add people and power

Draw the footpath and crossing to the door, then place EV chargers, motorcycle bays and cycle parking, and count every bay.

Can I change the number of bays or the bay types?
