How to use this template

  1. Decide quickly

    Score the tender within a couple of days of receiving it. Bidding for the wrong job costs time you could spend winning the right one.

  2. Work to the deadline

    Put the site visit, clarification deadline and submission date on the timeline and plan the estimating work back from them.

  3. Build up the price

    Start from direct costs, then add preliminaries, overheads, a risk allowance and profit. Keep the build-up for the post-tender review.

How is the bid or no-bid score worked out on this board?

It averages the six scorecard bars and compares the result with the threshold. Change the percentages to your own ratings and update the average and decision.
