Go-to-market plan for a product launch template

A go-to-market plan coordinates the teams who have to be ready on launch day. This example counts down from eight weeks before launch to four weeks after, with product marketing, content, sales, PR and paid media colour-coded so you can see who is busy when and what must finish first.

How to use this template

  1. Fix the launch week first

Set week zero to your launch date and work backwards. Counting in weeks relative to launch makes it obvious when a late positioning decision squeezes everything that depends on it.

  2. Check the dependencies

Make sure messaging finishes before the sales deck, launch page and ads start. If bars overlap that should run in sequence, either move a date or record the risk.

  3. Agree the go/no-go list

Edit the checklist so it covers what would genuinely stop you launching. Review it in the T-1 meeting and name who can delay the launch if an item is not done.
