Informal and formal routes · Meeting, investigation and written outcome · Appeal and timescales from your policy
Preview and use template →A good whistleblowing procedure gives people more than one safe way to raise a concern. This board draws the routes as a metro map: the line manager, an anonymous hotline and a direct line to the audit committee chair all meet at the Speak Up Officer, then run through triage, investigation, outcome and feedback. Branches show concerns rerouted to HR and checks for retaliation, and an external line goes straight to a prescribed regulator.
This is a planning example, not legal advice. Check your own policies, advisers and the local rules that apply to you.

Show each way a worker can raise a concern, including anonymous and board-level routes, so nobody has to go through the person they are worried about.
Agree how quickly concerns are acknowledged, triaged, investigated and closed, and show them on the main line.
Plan how you will keep their identity confidential and check for retaliation after the case closes.
