Milk run delivery route template

A milk run sends one truck round several suppliers on a fixed loop instead of each supplier delivering separately. This board draws the loop on a simple road map, starting and ending at the plant and stopping at five suppliers in order, with a timetable of collection windows, what is collected and which empty crates go back, plus the loop length, runs per day and checks for the driver at each stop.

How to use this template

  1. Plot the suppliers

Mark the plant and each supplier on a simple map and draw the shortest sensible loop between them.

  2. Set fixed windows

Give each stop a time window and keep it the same every day, so suppliers have parts ready when the truck arrives.

  3. Plan the empties

Note which returnable crates go back to each supplier, so the truck never leaves the plant empty.
