Preview and use template →A collections process makes chasing overdue invoices consistent instead of ad hoc. This example sets one action for each aging bucket, from a friendly reminder at 1 to 30 days to agency or write-off approval after 90, adds a separate route for disputes and shows an aged debt summary so the team can see where the money is stuck.
This is a planning example, not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. Check your own policies, auditors and local rules.

Match the buckets to your payment terms. Customers on 60-day terms need a different schedule from those on 30.
Decide what happens in each bucket and who does it, from emails to calls to holding the account. Write down when a write-off needs approval.
Update the aged debt table each week. Watch the older buckets: debts over 90 days are far less likely to be paid.
